Les Contes de Hoffmann (the Tales of Hoffmann) was presented in the Festival Theatre at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. The Festival, a 979 seat proscenium space, normally serves at the center's road house for touring productions. Meetings began almost a year before the production began and budgets for all departments were quite extensive. Lighting concepts were devloped right up until the load in and most elements of the design were molded around the different scenes. Nicholas Di Virgilio - Director, Michel Singher - Conductor |
